BIHAR FLOOD
BIHAR FLOOD, One of the most happened natural disaster and one of the least noticed natural disaster.
Why this happened? Why we suffer every year? Bihar is not surrounded by sea but why every year BIHARI'S experience living on an Island, why?
What are the things which we experience during the flood?
What is modern-day, modern way solution?
We will try to find out all these answers.
Almost every year we experience a flood, especially in NORTH BIHAR and the reasons are, the poor embankment of river and mismanagement of the natural flow of the river like KOSI, BUDHI GANDAK, GANDAK, MAHANANDA, BAGMATI. These all rivers originated from Himalaya, enters in Bihar through Nepal, and meet in GANGA. Due to these rivers, Bihar is always more prone to flood from the years. Earlier it was the natural flood. The soil was more fertile because of deposits driven by the rivers, now they are man-made floods.because of the improper management of the embankment we suffer every year. Lots of people lost their homes, their cattle, their livelihood.
we suffer a lot. Sometimes we were noticed by the media or by the news but sometimes not. I think the media thinks we are used to it. And our mindset was like that also," BAS KUCHH HI DINO KI TO BAT HAI, THODE BAHUT ROAD HI TUTENGE, THODE BAHUT GAON HI BAHENGE, THODE BAHUT JAN MAAL KA NUKSAN HI HOGA, FIR SAB THIK HO JAYEGA. We people also ignore that serious concerns like our media do.
I remembered that when I was in college when there was a heavy flood in Kerala in 2018. 3 of the KERALA guys started posting flood pic and seriousness of the situation on their WhatsApp status. All the BIHARI and NON-BIHARI friends of mine acknowledged that situation and started to collect the old clothes, shoes, money, and whatever help which were possible, we all collected that, We gave that to Kerala guys and they transferred that into CM DISASTER RELIEF FUND of KERALA.
We were started to tweet, retweet, and using hashtags with emotional hashtags like #prayforkerala,#donateforkerala,#helpkerala, and many more on our social media accounts.
By using those hashtags and posting that serious issue on social media sites, KERALA received Rs 676.61 crore rupees in their CM DISASTER RELIEF FUND in 2018. I am not saying that we only did that, but that was the combined effort of the KERALA guys and good people from all over the COUNTRY.
We all know that there are lots of good people more than bad people in the world. Good people always seek to help others. Maybe in the Kerala flood situation, they acknowledged that situation, and they were started to donate whatever they can.
But nowadays in our case(BIHAR FLOOD), there is flood all over the Bihar from almost one month. We were 15 out of 56 from Bihar in our batch. NONE of us have posted any pictures of Bihar flood, NONE of us tried to collect any money or clothes, NONE of us tried to trend any hashtags on their social media accounts. Even though 7 out of 15 were from flood-prone districts like DARBHANGA, SITAMARHI, SHEOHAR, BOTH CHAMPARAN, MUZAFFARPUR, etc of my batch. they are the district which is more affected by a flood now. Most of these district roads, highways were washed away by floods.
One of my friends is living on their roof nowadays, they are depending on the NDRF team for ration and evacuation. Lots of our friends and our relatives are directly or indirectly affected by the flood.
We are not posted our situations because maybe we thought that it may not LOOK COOL (kyuki yaha to har sal badh aata hai), maybe deep down we think that "MARD KO DARD NHI HOTA", SB KUCHH JHEL LENGE. Maybe we thought that "E TO BAS KUCHH HI DINO KI BAT HAI", KUCHH DINO MEIN SB THIK HO JAYEGA". We abuse our politicians daily, that is right I think but we have to do some things from our side also. We are on god trust nowadays.
Lots of our villages and district are submerged in the water now. Sometimes it feels like living on an island.
Sometimes we believe that "YAR HAMARE BOLNE SE, HMARE RONE SE, SAD POST KRNE SE KYA HI FARK PADEGA".
But "FARK PADTA HAI MERE DOST".
Without knowing that exact situation we had helped Kerala guys, likewise, we were also be helped. But before that, we have to raise our voice. We have to tell everyone about our situation by using any of the social media sites. Some times we copy things . "JB TK KOI DUSRA AWAZ NHI UTHAYEGA HUM V NHI KUCHH BOLENGE".
Only raising voice is the way to get help.
As I told you there are lots of good guys in the world. "BAS HME UN TAK APNI AWAZ PAHUCHANI HAI, for help. They will help us surely. Maybe you don't need that help but there are lots of guys, families, who are living on NH nowadays, who need your help. who can't even raise the voice through social media because there may be some network issues?
Hope our PM will also take this matter seriously because"RAM LALA TO AB VIRAJMAN HO GYE, KHI SITA MAIYYA BADH MEIN NA BAH JAYE".
Because it is the belief that SITA MAIYA was born in sitamarhi which is the part of mithilanchal, which is in NORTH BIHAR, Which is more prone to flood always.
It was a nice awareness blog, but i think never donate your funds in any government accounts, because that donated fund is not be use in the proper way that it has to be use. If you want to help the needy person than you have to took charge in your own hand, here i give you the example of recently corona pandemic , PMCARES FUND it was created on 28march 2020, the one person put RTI on PMCARES FUND , and the RTI question of that person was how much money has received in this PMCARE fund, and the answer he was received is that PMCARE FUND is not included in the RTI ACT, so guys, if you want to help the needy person than try to help , in your own way, if it is not possible then first check the details of that donated fund then donate your money. Your awareness, can safe someone's life, can safe someone's family and more important thing is that you will be the reason of someone smile, and believe me it would be satisfies your soul and from inside you feel very happy and proud.✌️
ReplyDeletethanks for your reply, i think PMCARES FUND is an exceptional case. its hard to trust people for anything . specially in case of giving money , we trust less on each other. atleast gov. is more reliable than an individual person. Atleast in democractic system we have power to ask question to the gov. but if u give ur money to the individual they may misuse that. but you are correct. there are very few gov. on which we can trust fully. but in my point of view they are better option than the individuals.
